Alliance for Integrity and Transparency International launch the TRAC EMM report 2016 in Mexico City

The Alliance for Integrity and Transparency International Mexico jointly launched the latter´s report on Transparency in Corporate Reporting – Assessing Emerging Market Multinationals (TRAC EMM) 2016 in Mexico City. The report assesses the disclosure practices of 100 major emerging market multinationals headquartered in 15 countries worldwide, and active in over 185 countries.

The assessment was first published in 2008. The 2016 edition is based upon three dimensions: first, reporting of key elements of anti-corruption programmes; second, the disclosure of their company structures and holdings; and, third, the disclosure of key financial information on a country-by-country basis.

The event was joined by Pedro Carta from COPARMEX Nacional, Eduardo Bohórquez and Vanessa Sylveira from the Mexican chapter of Transparency International. Also Corinna Küsel from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, and Noor Naqschbandi, director of the Alliance for Integrity, took part in the venue. Furthermore, over 40 companies and enterprise institutions also participated in the event.

The Alliance for Integrity took advantage of the opportunity to announce its upcoming activities in 2016, among them, some corruption prevention trainings scheduled for the Mexican localities of Guadalajara, Monterrey, Puebla, Tamaulipas and Querétaro. Find out more and register here.
