Global Conference

The Alliance for Integrity's Global Conferences aim to gain global perspectives on specific integrity issues. Therefore, the event brings together relevant stakeholders from different regions and various sectors in to share their experiences and approaches in the fight against corruption.

During plenary discussions, break-out sessions, and interactive formats like marketplaces or museums, experts from the private and public sector, civil society, international organisations as well as from academia, debate on current trends and developments in business integrity and share their experiences. In previous conferences, panellists discussed on opportunities through digital solutions, the nexus between corruption and gender, and how to increase and demonstrate impact of corruption prevention efforts.

The last Global Conference was entitled "Integrity in challenging times" and took place on 22 June 2023 in Berlin. The event primarily focussed on the actors in the Global South, who are suffering particularly from global developments with rising poverty rates and precarious working conditions, especially for women, and who are supposed to benefit from new German and European regulatory measures for increased sustainability and ethical business practices in supply chains. The conference showcased how a partnership-based approach together with the Global South can help meet the requirements of laws and standards on transparency along supply chains, anti-corruption, human rights, and environmental due diligence. The one-day event brought together relevant stakeholders from different regions and various sectors to share their experiences and approaches in the fight against corruption.
