Participants met in Bonn and online.

From March 5 to 7, representatives from the National Hubs of Alliance for Integrity and GIZ colleagues met both in-person and online in Bonn. The primary objective of the discussions was to enhance collaboration and address the key anti-corruption and business integrity priorities in the partner countries of Alliance for Integrity. During the meeting, the participants explored opportunities for the network while also tackling relevant challenges.

Representatives from Asia, Africa, and Latin America, as well as members of the global Secretariat in Germany, gathered for a three-day workshop to discuss crucial topics such as operational planning, monitoring and evaluation, and outreach. Through interactive sessions and lively discussions, participants explored ways to enhance the impact of their activities, discussed sustainability and efficiency, and reviewed the governance process of the Alliance for Integrity, including implications for National Hubs, external and internal communication, and possibilities for financing. An operational plan for the upcoming year was also established.

“The Alliance for Integrity started a new era in its history with more synergies, cooperation, and impact. Seeing our national hubs' motivation during this workshop, I am sure we will achieve great things together in the months and years to come. These discussions were integral to aligning our efforts and strategies in pursuit of the Alliance for Integrity's vision. By sharing insights, best practices, and innovative ideas, we have taken significant steps forward in our mission to promote integrity and ethical business practices worldwide”, Carolina Echevarria, Head of the global Secretariat of Alliance for Integrity, said at the of the workshop.

The meeting was the first one after the recent official accreditation of new national hubs of Alliance for Integrity. The newly accredited hubs will promote business integrity in the partner countries of the Alliance for Integrity and represent the initiative through a broad range of activities and tools, such as training, webinars, didactic guides, and publications. Furthermore, other partner organizations of Alliance for Integrity are either in the process of or will soon sign Memorandums of Understanding to become national hubs in their countries.
