The Alliance for Integrity has held a follow-up breakfast meeting for participants of previous Compliance Training for Businesses organised in Takoradi and Tarkwa in Ghana’s Western Region in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
The follow-up meeting which took place in Takoradi, created a platform for the business representatives to share challenges they encountered in introducing compliance measures in their companies following their participation in the Compliance Training for Businesses. The participants also shared practical experience on how the workshop benefitted their company’s compliance efforts.
The Alliance for Integrity used the opportunity to share its current corruption prevention tools such as TheIntegrityApp with the business representatives.
Two trainers, Patrick Kwadzie of Kenycorb and Frank Owusu-Ansah of Maersk Group, who took part in the event, entreated participants to take advantage of the Alliance for Integrity’s tools to develop compliance measures in their companies, whilst influencing their supply chain partners to do likewise.
The participants acknowledged the efforts of the Alliance for Integrity in promoting integrity in the economic system and called for training workshops to be organised for service providers in several sectors they considered to be prone to corruption risks.
