Alliance for Integrity recognizes Empresarios por la Integridad as National Hub in Peru and announces new chairs

During its recent session on 20 February 2024, the Advisory Group of the Alliance for Integrity in Peru, which comprises representatives from the civil society, private sector, and public sector, elected new leaders for a one-year term. Hernán Lanzara was chosen as the new President of the Advisory Group, while Rafael Fernández-Stoll assumed the role of Vice President. Both have extensive experience and a strong commitment to promoting business integrity and fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors in Peru.

At the same meeting, the Alliance for Integrity confirmed the approval of the Peruvian association Empresarios por la Integridad (Entrepreneurs for Integrity) as National Hub of the initiative in the country. This recognition highlights the capacity and dedication of Empresarios por la Integridad to lead and coordinate the activities of the Alliance for Integrity in Peru, thus strengthening the network of collaboration between key actors in promoting business integrity and sustainability in the country.

Throughout 2023, the Advisory Group Peru launched several initiatives in collaboration with the Secretariat of Public Integrity and the bilateral project Building Governance with Integrity of the German cooperation implemented by the GIZ in the country. These initiatives aimed to strengthen business integrity and promote dialogue with the public sector. Notably, the 8th Regional Business Integrity Week in Latin America, held in Lima in October 2023, brought together 78 speakers from 70 different organizations of the region over 25 organized sessions. The hybrid format of the event, with both in-person and online activities, attracted 250 attendees and more than 280 online participants, generating 25 hours of content. These initiatives have been instrumental in promoting ethical and transparent business practices in the country.

The continued commitment of the Advisory Group and the new National Hub in Peru demonstrates the strong dedication of the initiative to working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to promote business integrity and contribute to the sustainable development of the country. These efforts are supported by the technical assistance of the German development cooperation, implemented by GIZ through the Alliance for Integrity and the Building Governance with Integrity Project.
