As a global multi-stakeholder initiative, the Alliance for Integrity supports companies committed to fighting corruption and promotes a gender and diversity perspective in all its activities to ensure that all voices are heard equally. In order to provide businesses with the instruments to create an environment based on integrity involving the most vulnerable, Alliance for Integrity has recently published the “Toolkit to Promote Business Integrity with a Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Perspective”.

The toolkit comprises three hands-on learning products, all resources provide key information, strategies, and best practices to foster inclusive, equitable, and ethical work environments:

  • Practical guide to promote business integrity from a gender equality, diversity and inclusion perspective, which provides practical tools for companies that are taking first steps in the implementation of integrity or compliance programmes and supports them in incorporating the perspective of gender equality, diversity and inclusion in these efforts.
  • Anti-corruption and diversity infographic, which gives a first look at how corruption disproportionately affects vulnerable groups, what are the first steps companies can take in this regard and the benefits that occur in diverse companies.
  • Workshop on ethical leadership with a perspective of gender equality, diversity and inclusion. It provides the possibility of raising awareness about the importance of ethically leading companies with a perspective of gender equality, diversity and inclusion, this being a channel to promote better business and greater organizational productivity.

The launch of the toolkit took place on 16th June 2023 at a meeting with the members of the National Round Table of the Alliance for Integrity on issues of diversity, gender equality and anti-corruption – a unique opportunity to bring together professionals, companies and leaders committed to promoting business integrity and gender equality. Leandro Arreagada, Southern Cone Network Manager of the Alliance for Integrity, presented the various products, while the experts and consultants in charge of the preparation, Paula Honisch and Betina Duré, shared the challenges encountered during the development process.

Building up to that a sneak peek presentation was held at a public event, promoted by the Anti-Corruption Office of Argentina, the Government of the Province of Buenos Aires and the Municipality of Mercedes on 15th May. The event featured a panel that addressed the incorporation of human rights and gender perspectives in business integrity.
