Launch of the Alliance for Integrity Advisory Group in Peru

On 20 December 2022, the Advisory Group of the Alliance for Integrity was installed in Lima, Peru, as a space for the exchange of experiences and the generation of proposals and solutions to improve integrity, with emphasis on the business sector.

The Advisory Group in Peru is made up of relevant actors from the business sector, trade unions, civil society, and academia. It is currently chaired by Oscar Caipo, president of the association Empresarios por la Integridad and its vice-president is Mariela García De Fabri, Managing Director of Ferreycorp.

The Group is made up of the following companies and organizations:

• Oscar Caipo, representing the Empresarios por la Integridad Association
• Antje Wandelt, representing the German-Peruvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK)
• Álvaro Correa representing the National Confederation of Private Business Institutions (CONFIEP)
• Rosa Bueno de Lercari, representing the Chamber of Commerce of Lima
• Samuel Rotta, representing Proética, Peruvian Chapter of Transparency International
• Javier Portocarrero, representing the Economic and Social Research Consortium (CIES)
• Matilde Schwalb, representing the Universidad del Pacífico
• Mariela García De Fabri, representing the Ferreycorp Corporation
• Arturo Cassinelli, representing the company Talma Servicios Aeroportuarios
• Mario Pastor, representing the company BERMAC (Apurímac region)
• Rosario Bazán, representing the company Danper (La Libertad region)

Peru will host the 8th Regional Latin American Business Integrity Week in 2023, an event in which several companies and organizations that make up the Alliance for Integrity will participate to share their experiences in promoting a culture of integrity in the region. The Advisory Group will play an important role in the preparation and development of this event.

The Alliance for Integrity is a global initiative promoted by the business sector and the German government, which seeks to foster and promote integrity among companies, their business partners, and other relevant actors in the economic system. The activities of the Alliance for Integrity in Peru are carried out jointly with the Building Governance with Integrity project of the German development cooperation, implemented by GIZ.
