Corruption is a major obstacle to economic and social development and also for the sustainable business environment. In the last years, compliance has become an increasingly relevant issue in the business world. Gradually companies have been establishing measures and controls to ensure compliance and avoid violation of regulations. Effective implementation measures, however, are easier in theory than in practice.
Integrity Debates aims to discuss the particularities of compliance management in the private and the public sector and to identify how both sectors can work together, learn from each other, and engage relevant stakeholders from the private sector, the public sector and civil society. The involvement of multiple stakeholders encourages peer learning and the exchange of good practices. In addition, it contributes to improving structural conditions, stimulating dialogue between the public and private sectors.
The next debate will take place in Brasilia and focus on the topic of: Public-Private Dialogue. In this Integrity Debate, public and private sector representatives will share best practice examples in implementing internal and external systems and mechanisms for effectively strengthening integrity and transparency. The Debate will include a panel discussion which will feature a panel composed and moderated by women with high-level positions and great knowledge on the subject. The Debate will also provide a space for those invited to comment on the perception of the role of women in the fight against corruption.
