The panellists represented different regions of the Latin American continent and shared their experiences.
On Wednesday 14 June, the Alliance for Integrity together with the General Comptroller Office of the Republic of Chile organised an international anti-corruption conference on “Public-Private Partnership in the Fight Against Corruption”. The aim of the conference was to discuss and identify national and international best practice to fight corruption. Amongst others, the following topics were tackled at the event: Transparency and anti-corruption, the risks and challenges in Latin America, and tools for corruption prevention. The General Comptroller of the Republic of Chile, Jorge Bermudez Soto, and the Director of the Alliance for Integrity, Noor Naqschbandi welcomed the attendants at the event. Both of them focused on the importance of private-public dialogue as a way to counter corruption in the region in their opening statements.
