Kick-Off Conference of the Alliance for Integrity in India

On November 15, 2013 Cord Meier-Klodt, Former Deputy Chief of Mission, German Embassy, Arun Maira, Member of Indian Planning Commission and Sidharth Birla, Senior Vice President FICCI, kicked off ‘Alliance for Integrity’ in New Delhi. At the prelude conference of the initiative for integrity, more than 100 representatives of German and Indian companies, trade associations, ministries and the civil society participated.

In three break-out sessions, focusing on ‘Capacity Building of a robust Value Chain’, ‘Delivery of Public Services – Strengths and Weaknesses of existing Policies’ and ‘Good Practices – Processes to combat Bribery and Corruption’, the work groups concentrated on the concrete demands and challenges of businesses. The participants developed collective solution proposals, which built the base of the first activities of the Alliance for Integrity in the pilot country India.
