The Alliance for Integrity has been introduced to female entrepreneurs in Ghana at the Ghana Women Entrepreneurship Summit 2018 in Accra.
The two-day event was organised by the National Board for Small-Scale Industries (NBSSI) on the theme “The Ghanaian Woman Entrepreneur: An Untapped Economic Potential for Job Creation and Economic Growth”. The summit featured various panel discussions, a pitch competition, master-classes, an exhibition and information sessions. Topics covered centred on access to finance, access to market, best practices in agriculture and agribusiness, technology and extractive industries amongst others.
Raymond Ahiadorme, Network Manager Ghana, Alliance for Integrity, introduced the Alliance for Integrity to participants during a presentation session. He invited female entrepreneurs and business owners in general to get involved in the capacity-building and awareness-raising activities of the Alliance for Integrity in order to increase their capacities to prevent corruption in their businesses.
The Alliance for Integrity also exhibited its corruption-prevention tools such as the No eXcuses Pocket Guide and Ensuring Compliance – A Practical Handbook for Ghanaian Businesses. Participants also had the opportunity to watch episodes of the Vodcast series on Understanding Corruption and Corruption Prevention, which was screened at the summit.
