The Advisory Group of the Alliance for Integrity in Brazil and Transparency International Brazil met for the second time in São Paulo. Wolf Dio, Country Director of GIZ in Brazil, Reynaldo Goto, Chair of the Advisory Group and Compliance Officer at Siemens in Brazil, and Katja Bechtel, Coordinator of Transparency International's business integrity programme welcomed the members of the Advisory Group. They emphasized the importance of business integrity and of the activities developed by the initiative in Brazil.
In the meeting, the activities carried out in Brazil by the Alliance for Integrity and Transparency International during the year 2016 were presented. Claudia Lorek, the Alliance for Integrity’s Coordinator for
Latin America summarized the initiative’s Global Conference held in Buenos Aires on 17 November. At the end, the agenda for the year 2017 was introduces and it was discussed how the members of the Advisory Group can contribute to future activities.
Representatives of the following companies and organisations assisted the meeting: Bank of Brazil, CADE, Ethos Institute, Transparency International Brazil, CGU, Siemens Brazil, LATAM Airlines Brazil, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Brazilian Global Compact Network, and the Ministry of Transparency, Supervision and Control – CGU.
