Business Integrity Roundtable: The Private Sector’s role in building a culture of Integrity in Nigeria

The fight against corruption in the private sector is both an ethical case and a business case. Even though preventing corruption is the right thing to do, businesses must make it a point to take decisive action in order to avoid the numerous risks that are associated with being corrupt. Whether it is legal, reputational or financial risk, the consequences of engaging in corruption far outweigh the motivation. Businesses therefore need to act and commit to the prevention of corruption in their organizations, whilst influencing their business partners to do same.

Both public and private sector stakeholders can benefit from strengthening a culture of integrity in their dealings. With the signing of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCTA) agreement, the Nigerian new financing laws coupled with other emerging trends in the Nigerian business environment, we query how Nigerian businesses can make integrity a competitive advantage.

The Alliance for Integrity in collaboration with the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce Nigeria (AHK Nigeria) hosts a roundtable discussion on “The Private Sector’s role in building a culture of Integrity in Nigeria”.

The event aims at:
